Description
The GE MDS SD2 is a software-controlled digital radio that provides long-distance communications over licensed radio bands and allows users to deploy IP/Ethernet and serial communications using 200 MHz. The device comes with one (1) 10/100 Ethernet and two (2) serial ports. This industrially hardened wireless data acquisition solution supports flexible, reliable, secure, and efficient data transmission with operation between 216 – 222 MHz in North America and up to 235 MHz in other countries. The SD2 is designed for even the harshest of applications with a temperature range from -40 deg. C – 70 deg. C. Operates in channel sizes of 5 kHz, 6.25 kHz, 12.5 kHz, and 25 kHz. The MDS SD Series are industrial wireless solutions that provide long-distance communications over licensed radio bands, allowing users to interface to both Ethernet and serial devices such as PLCs, RTUs, and meters with host monitoring and control systems. The SD Series is the latest generation of MDS licensed narrowband wireless devices providing exceptional communication performance and reliability to meet demands for IP/Ethernet services as well as support for multiple devices and host systems.
